A portion of proceeds go toward helping athletes whose families have been affected by addiction.
Each year, hundreds of children are forced to drop out of All Star Cheerleading because a caregiver experiences addiction. For many athletes, this means missing out on a critical support they’ve found in the cheer community.
Cheer Bears gives a portion of proceeds to help these athletes stay enrolled in their sport by helping with gym fees, uniforms, and competition fees, as well as providing resources for the athletes and families to overcome addiction and begin a lifelong healing process.

Our History
As a young child growing up in the 1970’s, Cheer Bear’s founder dressed up his “Smokey the Bear” teddy bear in a burgundy velvet suit. This was the beginning of Cheer Bears!
A lifelong passion for dressing up bears became a reality when Cheer Bears co-founder got involved in the sport of All Star Cheerleading. Seeing the beautiful uniforms at cheerleading competitions across the country sparked a new interest in creating a bear that reflected all the beauty of All Star Cheer. Working with the Cheer Bears manufacturing team, the first Cheer Bear was developed as a key chain size bear; then came the full-size bear. Cheer Bears works to bring the young athletes involved in the sport of All Star cheer the best bears possible that reflect the individuality of each team and athlete.
Having a background as a not for profit industry leader was a natural fit for creating Cheer Bears’ social mission: to ensure a portion of proceeds goes toward helping athletes those families have been affected by addiction. Both the founder and co-founder’s lives have been touched by addiction, and this is how we can give back to the community and help young athletes stay in sports.
